Kistrel's Spotlight: AJ Leibengeist

Hello and welcome back!  I baked cookies and have the kettle on with the beverage of your choice ready and waiting.  So whether you are taking a break between buoys or having a read between casts, we really appreciate you dropping by to peruse this weeks spotlight.   There is no doubt this is a creative individual based on the different themes across the land.  In addition to that, he is a very welcoming and charming host who made a rather impressive grand entrance on a hoverboard when meeting him at one, of the MANY buoys, found on his land.  Covering 3 Regions and home to 16 buoys,  there is plenty of fishing to be had (amongst many other attractions)!  Collectively called TCGWS and with it's own hud for ease of getting around the many buoys, it is my pleasure to introduce our next spotlight--so let's raise a glass (maybe light a smoke?) and hear it for AJ Leibengeist!  Q:  So AJ, would you care to share any of your Second Life journey including how and when you found Fish

Randomness Seen While Fishing

Often when I'm out fishing I'm just looking around to see what, if anything, catches my attention and hits me upside the head.  Every moment you're in tells a story, sometimes you can write the story in your head that you want it to tell.  Sometimes its just something fun that you're also a participant in. Sometimes its just pure cuteness overload! Sometimes you're at a party and realize you cant see the fishing pole for the balloons lol Sometimes it is about seeing someone not taking themself too seriously, gotta love that in a person! And from my blackmail files (just kidding Wili) you might catch Wili checking out the ladies! What is the point of this?  Just that sometimes the best gift we can give ourselves is to take a moment and enjoy our fellow fishing folk and the fun, adorable, bizarre things we can all get up to.   Happy fishing!

Kistrel's Spotlight: Kasabian

Hey there and welcome back! I am so glad you popped by again for a visit and I hope you will continue to do so, each and every week! I always have the kettle on, homemade cookies, alcohol if that is your preference and I can roll ya' a smoke if you like.  So really, there is no question as to why you shouldn't be here every week. My next spotlight is on someone who I am not sure I have ever seen fish to be honest although I am sure they own a rod--maybe?!?! Then again, I tend to be cammed at the ground the majority of the time just trying to stay on!  ;-p  Having said that, they are very active within the community and have some of the quirkiest and creative builds I have seen AND they are located on some of the most prime real estate in SL! In addition to the main blue Buoy, there are 3 red buoys you will find here. There is a group only yellow at The Jetty too. There are Krafties, games and loads of things to see, do, click on and just have good whimsical fun! With little

Kistrel's Spotlight: Captivations Erotica Gallery, Grayvie (Inara Lunasea)

Hey there!  Good to see you again and thanks for stopping by! So you have managed to get through my first 2 Spotlights and contributions to the LGH blog in general and you are back again?! You must be a glutton for punishment but it is greatly appreciated! <3 Changing the pace a bit this week, our next spotlight is on someone who is a "formidable force" when it comes to fishing!  In addition,, she has also been busy in LGH including starting a new Kingdom and holding the position of Art Curator for the Captivations art galleries along with meeting the artists and procuring the pieces that are on display. within each.   As the trumpets blast announcing her arrival, let's roll out the red (or would it be purple since she is Kingdom Royalty?!) carpet and learn a bit about Inara Lunasea, aka Grayvie, aka GQ, aka Queen of the Reel Reunion! Firstly, I would like to thank GQ for taking the time to have a chat with me and share some of her journey within LGH.  Q:  So GQ, wou

Fishing and Manners-OpEd by Kistrel Hawker

One of the really spectacular things about Second Life is the ability to be who you want to be and adopt whatever persona you choose.  For some that can be a non-human life-form whether it is an adorable cat, a cute bee, a scary reaper or a wolf!  For others it is creating the "person! they want to be or see themselves as in this virtual world which may or may not coincide with their existence in "real life" and  that is ok too! Regardless how an individual chooses to express themselves or live their SL, it is important to remember that behind every avatar (well most at least!)  there is a real person with real emotions and we should always aim to treat one another with kindness while embracing the diversity of our community.    Now, with any community is everyone going to adore one another, absolutely not and that is life regardless which one you are logged in to!  I certainly know I am not everyone's cup of tea but I am a damn good shot of vodka on occasion but t

Kistrel's Spotlight: Captivations Erotica Artist Pau

It is easy to think of the fishing, coins and various jobs when exploring the activities within the LGH community. for that is what keeps us busy most of the time.  Having said that, when you are looking for a break from the buoys and coin chasing, the Captivations Erotic Gallery is a great way to pass time while admiring some of the more....titillating....offerings of the community.   The Erotic Gallery is housed in two separate buildings accessible via the teleport located at the Adult Second Life Ads landing spot.  Now as the name suggests, you are not going to find replicas of Van Gogh or Michelangelo here, and in the event that you do, I can assure you the sexiness level will be amplified, ten-fold.    The first building (round in structure) provides something for those more into the hard-core art while the modern building beyond ;provides less explicit, but still sensual, pieces.  In layman's terms, the first building contains penetration scenes whereas the 2nd building doe

Fishing and Random Photos (mostly random)

Second Life is a pretty cool place with lots of different things to see, but you don't need to go any further than your favorite fishing spot sometimes to see the quirky, the adorable, the amusing or the Wow things. Like the above absolutely adorable pink critter!    Or you might catch Queen Mina and Kistrel making themselves a Lizandro sandwich!  You might see a super cute glowy eyed critter! You might see King Skar in a way that makes you snicker and smirk...sorry I caught you with blue ba...never mind... Overload of cute?  A leap of leopards! Yep you might see that too. A bee holding their teddy bear with a bee flying around them, an awesome sight! Dueling shark rods anyone? Yes, I caught Wili sailing a boat! What's the point of this article, no point except take a moment to see what is around you, and marvel at the wonders that are your fellow fishers! On any given day while fishing you can see things or people that will make you smile, all you have to be is open to seeing

Kistrel's Spotlight: Kelly Huntsman!

Thank you to all the readers who have popped along to peruse our next Spotlight! For as long as I have been in LGH (which hasn’t been a hot minute in comparison to many others!) this individual has usually graced the podium on a weekly basis and if not, definitely securing a top 10 position. As if that wasn’t enough to keep the average person busy, she also leads a Kingdom, is owner of one of my personal fav fishing locations and has a VERY helpful website that I would highly encourage anyone using potions and farming to check out! So I would like to present to all my LGH family and friends (this is where the obligatory drum roll comes in!)…………...Kelly Huntsman!!   Firstly, I would like to thank Kelly for taking the time to have a chat with me and share some of her journey within LGH and maybe even a tip or two along the way!   Q:  So Kelly, would you care to share any of your Second Life journey including how and when you found Fish Hunt with us? A: Like most people in SL for over a

Koz : Fishing and Friends

When I fish it takes a bit to get me ready lol. First did I remember my Dragon Rod? Then my Shubbie and heart and finally my Spotify Bubble to show off what I am listening to. Once I am ready to fish it is time to go off and fish with my friends who are a crazy bunch without whom I would be bored and looking for something else to do. Find yourself some friends get them into fishing and enjoy. If none of your friends want to fish then make new ones with one of the great people out there fishing already. *Article and Photography by Kozmo Reitman

Kistrel's Spotlight: Maja Hallison

On any given day, we gather around the LGH fishing spots that provides us hours of casting pleasure while filling our purses with lindens!  Some are more of the casual fishers, some are hard-core competitors and some are, shall we say, the veterans of the game and it is here I decided to search for a candidate to highlight.   With approximately 363 individuals to date, achieving an impressive 1 MILLION in XP and worthy and deserving of the recognition, I decided to go to straight to the top landing upon the legend that is—Maja Hallison.  With a truly remarkable 62+ MILLION XP, and rising daily; and overall earnings in excess of 3 MILLION lindens, I am in the presence of LGH fishing royalty. Firstly, I would like to thank Maja for taking the time to have a chat with me and share some of her journey within LGH and maybe even a tip or two along the way! Q:  So Maja, would you care to share any of your Second Life journey including how and when you found Fish Hunt with us? A: This was on
