  I present to you the two submissions I have received for our esteemed Memorial Day article. Take a moment to reflect upon those who have lost their lives in the ravages of war, and kindly spare a minute to immerse yourself in the narratives that lie before you. As an Army bandsman, I participated in many Memorial Day services honoring our fallen service members. This year I want to memorialize a solider whose death had a profound effect on me. I arrived at Camp Casey, Korea in February 1983 as a SFC in the 2nd Infantry Division Band. Sometime that spring in April or May, the band was headed to a concert via Army bus.   Q: What inspired you to establish the Kingdom of Fearless Fishers, and how does it distinguish itself from other kingdoms? A: Before Fearless Fishers was a Kingdom, it was a fishing and rental sim, run by our Fishmaster Romi Chelien. He left SL due to RL work commitments, and I wanted to keep the name alive. Loverly did try to keep the place open for a while too, but the expenses became too much, I guess, and it closed. The family group still exists, but only a couple of its original members are left now. Q: How does the Kingdom of Fearless Fishers support its members in their LGH gaming experiences and goals?   As we approach this Memorial Day Monday, a veteran friend posed a question - if I would be penning a few words in honor of the day. This sparked a journey for me into the virtual world of Second Life, a quest to discover how people commemorated their loved ones who served our country. Sadly, I found nothing. No tributes for our veterans, no acknowledgments for Memorial Day. This discovery left a melancholy shroud over my heart. I was reminded of my mother, her eyes glistening with tears as she recounted how many of her high school classmates had never returned from Vietnam. Of the innocent young boys of her graduating class, each and everyone impacted by the draft - most never made it home. A similar tale unfolded for my grandparents during World War II. They were just kids, but they were thrust into a reality far removed from the innocence of childhood.
