CC Crypto Academy Meeting
Wili Clip: In the swiftly evolving digital landscape, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology have gained unprecedented importance. These transformative technologies signify a fundamental shift in transaction methods, data security, and trust-building in our increasingly interconnected world (17:33:49).
Wili Clip: Education's purpose extends beyond imparting knowledge; it's about equipping individuals to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Those who fail to learn risk being left behind and facing the consequences of financial ignorance and inflation (17:36:13).
Wili Clip: As we approach a new era, understanding and harnessing the power of cryptocurrency and blockchain are no longer optional. They have become a necessity for individuals, businesses, and industries alike (17:36:27).
Wili Clip: The urgency for crypto education arises from the rapid transformation of financial and technological landscapes due to cryptocurrencies and blockchains. Without proper education, individuals and businesses risk lagging behind in a fast-evolving digital economy (17:37:25).
Wili Clip: Crypto understanding extends beyond investing; it involves unlocking the potential for innovation, secure transactions, and new opportunities. In a world where crypto is integral to finance and commerce, education serves as the bridge to responsible participation and realizing its full potential (17:39:05).
Wili Clip: The CC Crypto Academy acknowledges the crypto industry's unique landscape, filled with opportunities and challenges. Our goal is to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to navigate this dynamic field effectively (17:41:54).
Wili Clip: In the crypto world, exciting prospects for innovation, investment, and career growth exist. Our academy aims to empower students to identify and seize these opportunities, explained in a manner that everyone can comprehend (17:42:46).
Wili Clip: On the flip side, the crypto space is also plagued by bad actors and risky projects, commonly referred to as "shi*coins." Our curriculum emphasizes critical thinking and due diligence to enable students to discern between good and bad crypto projects (17:43:57).
Wili Clip: The vision of CC Crypto Academy is clear—to empower everyday people to thrive in the cryptocurrency world. Our mission is to offer accessible, hands-on education that demystifies crypto, providing the skills and knowledge needed for confident digital currency use and investment (17:46:22).
Wili Clip: Now, onto an interesting historical tidbit. The government once briefly banned cryptography in 1990, thinking they could suppress it, but they soon realized they couldn't (17:48:50).
Wili Clip: Let's delve into a story from the early '90s when the U.S. government attempted to ban new encryption methods. They feared the chaos these codes could cause. However, the ban was short-lived as the tech community rose to the challenge, ensuring the encryption of data continued to evolve (17:49:53).
Wili Clip: The crypto industry is evolving rapidly. Black Rock is entering the world of Bitcoin, issuing a request for an ETF (17:54:50).
Wili Clip: Legislation permitting central banks to hold bitcoins has also been drafted. Bitcoin's potential role in the international monetary system, similar to gold, is on the horizon, but not before some fluctuations (17:55:22).
Wili Clip: Timing is crucial in the crypto world. When cryptocurrencies become the talk of the town and even grandma knows about them, it's often a bad time to invest. Success often lies in getting in early (17:57:04).
Wili Clip: Our focus is on the right timing rather than popularity. We aim to educate and make a difference (17:57:38).
Wili Clip: The mission of CC Crypto Academy is to teach people, especially those with limited income, how to grow their investment from scratch. Financial literacy is key, not just in crypto but also in handling money overall (18:01:18).
Wili Clip: Our academy assists people in starting from nothing and building a significant crypto investment portfolio (18:04:00).
Wili Clip: To promote participation in the crypto economy and community, we've introduced CC Tokens with weekly airdrops (18:04:39).
Wili Clip: We are actively seeking passionate individuals who want to become educators at CC Crypto Academy. If you're enthusiastic about crypto and blockchain and have a knack for teaching, we want you to join us in shaping the future of crypto education (18:05:38).
Wili Clip: With that, I conclude the main part of the conference and open the floor for a short Q&A session. Please feel free to ask questions or share your comments (18:07:13).
Conference Minutes End
========================================
Q&A Session Begins
[18:09:13] Fukuju Amaterasu: What exactly IS a blockchain?
[18:10:50] Floyd Sack: A blockchain is a ledger of transactions that many computers have a copy of.
[18:09:28] Ray W0nders (Apopsy Hax): All these words come down to one point - please many people invest into crypto so the price will raise so that the big stakeholders can sell and earn big.
[18:11:21] Wili Clip: There are good crypto projects with crypto coins that aim to grow real value and connection and products, services. And there are bad crypto projects who in the crypto industry we call "shi*coins" that Ray is mentioning. Not all crypto is bad.
[18:12:44] Wili Clip: The news and media tend to focus on the negative aspects, but the crypto industry also contributes positively by creating value and increasing financial literacy within our community.
[18:14:03] KingGartheKnight Resident: Governments are trying to enforce and control crypto, which worries many investors.
[18:14:56] Wili Clip: Regulation, or the lack thereof, is affecting the crypto space. However, regulation is on the horizon, with banks soon offering crypto services.
[18:14:59] Floyd Sack: Some investors actually welcome regulation.
[18:15:09] Fairsky (BingLiuYuan Resident): Regulation may push the crypto community into the underground world.
[18:15:14] Wili Clip: Major players like PayPal and VISA are already making moves into the crypto space.
[18:15:40] тαтє ℓιттℓєραωѕ (Tate Fishtail): I had crypto in PayPal.
[18:15:40] Floyd Sack: Elon Musk has also shown interest.
[18:16:38] Wili Clip: Black Rock is likely to enter the world of Bitcoin with an ETF, marking a significant development (18:16:38).
[18:18:11] Ray W0nders (Apopsy Hax): Many big stakeholders prefer an unstable Bitcoin as it provides opportunities for speculation.
[18:17:02] KingGartheKnight Resident: Coinbase offers a 20% tax saving through H&R Block online. There are indeed positive aspects in the crypto world.
[18:18:38] Wili Clip: PayPal has even introduced its own stablecoin. A stablecoin is a type of cryptocurrency that is pegged to a fiat currency.
According to PayPal, PYUSD is fully backed (collateralized) by USD deposits, short-term U.S. treasuries, and similar cash equivalents.
This means that PYUSD - stablecoin is very much like real money, just digital.
[18:20:09] Wili Clip: Okay. We have time for one last question.
[18:20:52] Floyd Sack: How much should I invest in crypto?
[18:21:11] Wili Clip: Never your life savings :-)
[18:21:33] Floyd Sack: "Never more than you can afford to lose."
[18:20:56] Fairsky (BingLiuYuan Resident): But if the world loses the use of the internet, don't we lose all the crypto money?
[18:21:49] Wili Clip: Money has been digital for a long time already, it’s all just numbers in computers.
Crypto is just in some way putting the governance over the money into the hands of the people, making it possible for people to be their own bank.
This makes banks worried and has forced the old banking system to rapidly innovate so that they can keep up. This is why regulators try to slow down the crypto revolution, for the old legacy banking system to catch up.
Once the banks catch up, it’s going to be banks that will offer you crypto and hold it for you.
It’s happening.
[18:24:09] Wili Clip: And with that statement we're ending the conference, thank you for your attendance!
