Kistrel's Spotlight: Fishing Competition Elina Tigerauge

Hello there and thanks for coming back for this weeks Fisher Spotlight!

My next Spotlight is no stranger to gracing the podium on a regular basis and is definitely considered LGH fishing royalty!   With an overall rank of 3 and over 26 MILLION in XP,  if she isn't one of the Queen's of Fish Hunt then she is surely a Princess... and looks like one as well!

Now this type of XP isn't achieved overnight so she has definitely been an active fisher for some time now and we are lucky she agreed to allow us to pick her brain a bit and get to know her better.

Today I have the privilege of introducing to you the always charming and lovely, Elina Tigerauge.

Firstly, II would like to thank Elina for taking the time to have a chat with me and share some of her journey within LGH and maybe even a tip or two along the way!

Q:  So Elina, would you care to share any of your Second Life journey including how and when you found Fish Hunt with us?

A: I started SL a long time ago, 09/15/2010,  I was a shopper in my early sl years and enjoyed participating in the hunts as well as going to the clubs.  I heard about fishing through friends and that's how I got started.
The beginners rod i took through a buoy that was on Tue, Sept 10 2013.

Q:Elina  with so many fishing successes over the years, would you mind sharing what you think are the most memorable and why these stand out?

A: For me, the most special fishing success was the first time I won the Royal and the Championship. After a period of hard fishing and then to be able to stand on the podium as a result are still the nice successes that stand out for me.

Q:  Overall,, how many hours would you guess you have fished over the years and do you have any other activities you enjoy doing in Second Life...time permitting that is!

A: Have fished a lot of hours,  These times I fish a little less because housekeeping, laundry, shopping, cooking etc. so now I fish about 5 or 6 hours with breaks in between.

Q: What rod and worms do you regularly use and does this vary by event?  Do you utilise potions/shubbies etc?

A:  I fish with a Dragon Rod C2 LE.  I bought several rods over the years; Magic Fishing rod, Shark Rod, Competitor Rod and would still like to purchase the Elemental rod for the collection :)
I fish mostly with tasty worms and with events the exchange worms, and the potions from the shubbie

Q: What are your favourite fishing locations and why?

A: I don't have any favorites fishing locations,  I fish overall, I don't like multi buoys so you won't see me there much.

Q: What advice would you give to new fishers who are just starting out in their LGH journey?

A:  Don't give up quickly, in the beginning it's slow but if you fish every day you get better.
And you also start to like it more, you're going to meet a lot of people at the buoys. I still enjoy it every day for 11 or 12 years, and it's a hobby and relaxing for me.

I would like to thank Elina for taking the time to chat with me and share some of her LGH and SL journey with us.

So again we have words of wisdom and insight from one of our most accomplished and long-standing fishers!
Currently holding the top spot in the Fish Hunt Championship, you can guarantee that you will find Elina fishing the red buoys as she vies to maintain her ranking and claim another championship victory come June!

Whether your goal is to be a competitive fisher like Elina, to earn some extra lindens or meet new fisher friends, we hope we can provide some little nuggets of information to help you with your journey along the way.

Thank you again for stopping by and we hope to see you next week.  Now go....go fish!!

Fishing and Finding Hearts

Sometimes finding someone's heart to tip them back is very easy.  Sometimes its exceptionally difficult.  There is a VERY easy method to doing it though, and I have seen people giving out the instructions for it.  Sadly, as I discussed with Loverly, by the time I get to the second sentence in those instructions...my brain starts bleeding.  Loverly very kindly shared with me a streamlined instructional and I'm sharing here with all of you! First at the top menu bar go to World, Area Search, click the Filters Tab and then follow these pictures: Note that in the above picture Attachments are unchecked in the bottom half and then checked in the top half In the above picture we have clicked on the Find tab and typed in Heart and then after that you hit enter of course And like magic the box fills with the listings of people and their hearts!  Simply pick a line and right click and Touch and you can tip people easily! A great big thanks to Loverly for sharing t...

Kistrel's Spotlight: AJ Leibengeist

Hello and welcome back!  I baked cookies and have the kettle on with the beverage of your choice ready and waiting.  So whether you are taking a break between buoys or having a read between casts, we really appreciate you dropping by to peruse this weeks spotlight.   There is no doubt this is a creative individual based on the different themes across the land.  In addition to that, he is a very welcoming and charming host who made a rather impressive grand entrance on a hoverboard when meeting him at one, of the MANY buoys, found on his land.  Covering 3 Regions and home to 16 buoys,  there is plenty of fishing to be had (amongst many other attractions)!  Collectively called TCGWS and with it's own hud for ease of getting around the many buoys, it is my pleasure to introduce our next spotlight--so let's raise a glass (maybe light a smoke?) and hear it for AJ Leibengeist!  Q:  So AJ, would you care to share any of your Second Life journ...
