CLEAN WATER - We all need it & can't live without it - 16 OCT!
WATER price has been for last 10 years 2 L$ per unit of water - at FIXED PRICE.
WATER PUMPS allow to FARM CLEAN WATER.
On 16th of OCTOBER the water will NO longer be FIXED PRICE as it will be supplied by the new class of players the Water Farmers!
We can't know where the price will go. What supply there will be is impossible to model & even best accountants in the world couldn't calculate and predict.
With 10000s of people in WORM ECONOMY its a Complex System.
Some are stocking up now on 2 L$ water when its still at FIXED price out of fear price will go up.
Others buying PUMPS to be always able to get cheapest water and to not suffer through possible supply shock of water and even profit massively from selling their worms at higher sell prices while at the same time having up to 50% lower production prices.
By my gut feeling I would expect that there will be shock. How big now depends on how well we'll manage to prepare our market participants. Fishers can buy reserves of worms at current prices to have reserves and worm farmers can buy water at currently still fixed price. At the same time the new class of players are buying WATER PUMPS. But in my opinion it would not be wise to expect that the new class of players water farmers who are buyers of water pumps (even at discounted price) will be able to buy enough water pumps to supply enough water for worm farms that have been bought by 1000s of people through last 10 years. So I say again we can expect some water supply shock.
From the Linden Gold Hunters group chat:
[08:06] Wili Clip: If the water price goes up if the new class of farmers (water farmers) won't be able to supply enough CLEAN WATER then it can for short time affect the prices of worms.... So maybe stock up on worms before their price goes up.... The water pumps and the water price going unfixed after 10 years is the biggest change in the GAME HISTORY.
[08:07] Wili Clip: I say short time hopefully because in reality we can't know how long will it take more players to start getting more water pumps as the profit will be in farming water + contributing towards fixing the problem of water shortage.
If the price will go up.... Its impossible to know... What I see is that most farmers are only buying water pumps for their own farming needs... so there might be shortage of water for other farmers decide not to get pumps for pumping water at 50% lower current cost...
[08:08] Wili Clip: We'll see
[08:09] Sonic (BraveSonic): good time to buy water pumps then
[08:09] Wili Clip: if a supply shock happens.... still there will be no need to PANIC /O .. O\ because people will get more pumps to increase supply of water for everyone through time and the worm prices will after time normalize and can then go bellow current prices (if there is enough water supply by new class of farmers - water farmers). The only question is the time... how long will that time be. We truly can not know because open market is a complex system a sum of decisions of 10000s of people.
[08:09] Tye Hoax: Will pumps been offer on credit in the long run so more pumps can get out there
[08:10] Wili Clip: So if you are a fisher and afraid that time will be longer than you're comfortable maybe stock up on worms.. so you can survive a water supply glut unaffected
[08:10] Wili Clip: We have some farmers preparing with making a stock of water at 2L$ so that they're unaffected if the price of water goes above the 2 L$ price when is no longer fixed.
[08:11] Wili Clip: and lots of farmers are buying PUMPS to help to try to prevent the water supply shock.
[08:11] Wili Clip: Then the question is how long will the water supply farmers have made last...
[08:11] Wili Clip: Its going to be interesting to see \⊙͜o/
[08:11] Wili Clip: but yes 16 OCT... we can fight against the supply shortage by informing everyone what to expect and to prepare for it
[08:12] Wili Clip: I mean... we can fight against supply shock... the better we are prepared the lesser or shorter it might be.... These are complex systems its simply impossible to predict... We can expect supply disturbances as there are more worm farms out there than pumps needed to supply water for them. And also it can happen that some worm farmers will buy the water to drive its price up so they can sell their worms at higher prices. This can happen until there is sufficient supply of water by all water farmers to supply it for whole economy needs.
[08:13] Wili Clip: 08:09] Tye Hoax: Will pumps been offer on credit in the long run so more pumps can get out there >>>>> Yes after 16th of October the pumps will be available on credit at their original non discounted full price.
